Welcome to "Kingsteignton
Ways for walking".
This is a lottery-funded project that wants
to encourage and help you to explore and find out more about this parish,
the village, your local environment and your heritage. |
|
There is a free
professionally printed copy of the map available from the Parish Council
offices in Rydon Road.
Or, you can download one from this web site. All the footpaths, Devon
County Council maintained, are marked on the map even the ones that simply
cross a field or act as a short cut. The ones actually in the parish
boundaries measure 11.94 kilometres. |
|
The listings on
the left refer to circular and return walks and are accompanied by
a series of photographs of scenes found on those walks. Clicking on
a thumbnail photograph will bring up a larger photo in either a new
window or a new tab, depending on how your computer is set up. |
|
Whilst some potential
parking spots have been highlighted in the printed map it is possible
to plan a trip by using public transport near to a start and thus walking
home. |
|
Kingsteignton Parish Council is very grateful to the Lottery and the Awards for All scheme for funding this project. |
