Starting from either end because they are more or less side by side, probably means using the car park on Broadway Road or alternatively you can start from Preston. Starting form the nearest point to the car park the trail meanders along the River Teign before crossing fields to join the Stover Canal at Teigngrace where a turn to the left takes you down the tow path past the graving dock and remains of the lock gates. The photos on this page relate primarily to the fields and canal. The river is on another page. Cross the field using a couple of "kissing" gates and a narrow bridge. Proceed to your right and enjoy the cool leafy (in the right season) path. There are still some traces of water but as the canal is being re-constructed it is hoped that water will figure prominently.
